You may also qualify if you're on a low income and receive certain benefits. The DWP uses a formula based on your energy costs, income, and property characteristics to determine eligibility. If you qualify, you'll receive a letter from DWP.

When Is It Paid?

The discount is applied to your electricity bill between October and March each winter. You'll see a £150 credit on your account. If you use a prepayment meter, you'll receive a top-up voucher.
